Project Description

tapered roller bearing

The tapered roller bearing is a common type of roller bearing, which refers to radial thrust rolling bearings in which the rolling elements are tapered rollers. Both the inner and outer rings of this bearing have tapered raceways. It belongs to a split bearing, that is, a conical inner ring assembly composed of an inner ring with tapered rollers and a cage can be installed separately from the outer ring. In general, this kind of bearing is divided into single-row, double-row and four-row tapered roller type according to the row numbers of rollers installed. The most used tapered roller bearing is the single-row type. Single row tapered roller bearings can bear radial load and one direction axial load. Its ability to bear the axial load depends on the contact angle, that is, the outer ring raceway angle. The larger the angle, the larger the axial load capacity. When the bearing is subjected to a radial load, an axial component force will be generated, so another bearing that can withstand the axial force in the opposite direction should be needed to balance it. In the front wheel hubs of cars, small-size double-row tapered roller bearings are widely used. Four-row tapered roller bearings are usually applied in most heavy machines such as a large cold or hot rolling mills.

Tapered roller bearings are widely used in automobiles, rolling mills, mining, metallurgy, plastic machinery and other industries.
