Project Description

Cam follower, also known as track follower, is a specialized type of roller or needle bearing designed to follow cam lobe profiles. Cam followers come in a vast range of different configurations, however, the most defining characteristic is how the cam follower mounts to its mating part. Stud style cam followers use a stud while the yoke style has a hole through the middle.
Stud style cam followers usually have a standard sized stud, but a heavy stud is available for increased static load capacity. Yoke type cam followers are usually used in applications where minimal deflection is required, as they can be supported on both sides. They can support the same static load as a heavy stud follower.
Cam follower needle roller bearing differs from conventional bearings in that all of the loads are concentrated at a single point instead of being distributed around the bearing. Cam followers are designed to run on all types of tracks and to be used in cam drives, conveyor systems, etc.
ISUTAMI has a full line of standard cam followers, including a large variety of specialty items such as stainless steel, chrome-plated and poly-coated bearings. We also specialize in custom solutions.
