Project Description

Angular contact ball bearing

An angular contact ball bearing is a type of rolling ball bearing. They have inner and outer ring raceways that are displaced relative to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. This means that these bearings are designed to accommodate combined loads, i.e. simultaneously acting radial and axial loads. Angular contact ball bearings can work at a higher speed. The larger the contact angle, the higher the axial load capacity. The contact angle is defined as the angle between the line of contact between the ball and the raceway in the radial plane and the vertical line of the bearing axis. High-precision and high-speed bearings usually adopt a contact angle of 15°. And the normal contact angles also can be 25, 30 and 40°. The axial load carrying capacity will increase as the contact angle increases.

Conventional structures of angular contact ball bearings can be single-row, double-row and four-point. The raceways of single row angular contact ball bearings have high and low shoulders. These opposing raceways are designed to withstand thrust loads in one direction. The bearings are preloaded at the factory so that the correct load is generated once the bearings are put into use. This type of bearings are assembled with a specific internal clearance, so they will have a specified contact angle under the load. Double-row angular contact ball bearings have double raceways on both of the inner and outer rings. The two rows are so related that the contact angle is similar to a pair of back-to-back single row bearings. Four-point contact ball bearings are a type of radial single row angular contact ball bearing with a separable structure. The raceways are designed to support axial loads in both directions. The inner and outer ring raceways are peach-shaped sections. When there is no load or pure radial load, steel balls and rings are in four-point contact.

Single-row angular contact ball bearings are mainly used in machine tool spindles, high-frequency motors, centrifugal separators, booster pumps, food machinery, electromechanical equipment, and painting equipment. Double-row angular contact ball bearings are mainly used in air compressors, transmissions, and printing machinery, food packaging machinery, chemical machinery, etc. We can provide customers with regular models of angular contact ball bearings, including metric and inch sizes, and offer one-stop sales services.
